Rayna, the proprietor of Sekai Natural Hair Gallery, initiated her career in hair braiding for military women at Vandenberg AFB in 1992. Her skills flourished over the years. In 1998, she embarked on a personal journey with natural hair, choosing to stop using chemicals despite mixed reactions from her social circle. This decision marked the start of an intensive learning phase about maintaining hair in its natural state, a concept once unfamiliar to her.

In 2000, Rayna transitioned to Locing her hair, enhancing her expertise through experimentation, and later, through formal training with licensed stylists, herbalists, and natural hair specialists. She expanded her skills beyond braiding in 1999 and has since dedicated herself to natural hair care. Now a licensed cosmetologist in California, Rayna opened Sekai Natural Hair Gallery, specifically serving the natural hair community.

Rayna's holistic approach extends to nutrition. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Holistic Nutrition at Clayton College of Natural Health, starting in 2001. Here, she learned about the significance of nutrient-rich foods and hydration for overall well-being, including hair health. Still yearning for more knowledge, she studied massage therapy at Touch Therapy Institute in Encino from 2003. With this comprehensive understanding, she encourages her clients to explore optimal health choices.

Complementing her healing ethos, Rayna launched an artistic jewelry line, the Rayna Brooks Collection. These handmade pieces blend design, conductive metals, and metaphysical elements, enhancing their healing properties. Rayna believes in the intrinsic value and purpose of all natural elements.

A proponent of continual learning and sharing knowledge, Rayna advocates for never-ending education, even in basics. As the natural hair care sector rapidly expands, she aims to assist individuals in embracing and caring for their natural hair, celebrating their inherent beauty.
